Let me start off by apologizing for not writing for so long. Sorry about that. I just didn't have the inspiration to write about anything. However, I'm back now! So on we go...
For some reason, this series really caught my eye when it first came out. Reading the description for it really made me think that this is something for me. Having never read any of The Rocketeer before, I was a bit cautious at first. However, the story captivated me from the very beginning of this series. This series is set in the 1920s(like all of The Rocketeer, I believe). Langridge's writing, in my opinion, really captures 1920s America perfectly. Bone's art does exactly that as well. From the little nuances of the past to the wit of the 20s to the just becoming independent women of that time, it has it all. This series will give you action, suspense, romance, comedy, and really just everything you could want. It even has some 20s fanservice with Betty in a skimpy outfit or two. My only real problem with this series is that I now want more Rocketeer goodness. 4 issues just wasn't enough to satisfy my appetite for Langridge's fantastic writing and Bone's wonderful art. Many people say that IDW is cliche and just feeds off of TV and movie deals. I say, so? As long as their stuff is good, I'm gonna read it! If you've eyed The Rocketeer for a while or are new to the whole series, this is worth a buy. In fact, I think I'm going to go buy all 4 issues or at least the trade paperback when I have the money. This was definitely one of those rare gems that is well worth your time!

This comic was simply amazing! From the writing to the art, it'll just simply blow you away. This comic starts off with Superman having to save some people from an exploration mission to the Sun. While he is there, he gets exposed to too much solar radiation and pretty much gets cancer. Knowing that there is no cure and he is going to die soon, Superman begins preparations for the end of his life. I don't wanna spoil the rest for anyone that is going to read it, but I hafta say this is one of Morrison's best works. We all know Happy! was a steaming pile of crap, but this is pure genius. The art holds up just the same. In my honest opinion, you should definitely buy this. Even if you aren't a fan of Superman, you should buy this. This 12 issue series is just that great! And hey! It won an Eisner Award. That should probably be enough to say it's good right there. So yeah. Go buy it!

Spring 2013 Anime
Spring 2013 anime starts in April. So let's take a look at what is worth watching.
Click to view Spring 2013 Anime Chart
Above is the link to the 2013 anime chart. I might not highlight everything on it, so take a look for yourself.
All right. Let's begin.
Date A Live:
This anime is mecha, so it should be good, right? I'm not so sure. Just by looking at the PV(Here) it looks to be all over the place. Ecchi, romance, mecha, and shounen. It's probably not gonna be very good. I might give it a try if only for the mecha element to it. Could be better than expected. We shall see.
RDG: Red Data Girl:
I kinda like the art in this anime. The girl with the glasses... so cute! My glasses fetish strikes again! Making me watch anime I probably wouldn't watch otherwise lol Anyway, I think this anime should be okay. Might get a bit boring, but it should be worth a watch. I don't know if the plot will hold up, but I sure do like that art! Here's the PV: Click
Karneval:
This anime seems a bit... strange. I mean, it seems kinda cool. However, it's just odd. A circus as a military organization? I don't know. Could be cool. Might give it a try just to see what it's all about. Here's the PV: Click
Devil Survivor 2 The Animation:
This anime looks great! There's not much I can say expect that you should watch it when it comes out. Seriously. It's gonna be good. PV: Click
Ginga Kikoutai: Majestic Prince:
Ugh. I want to like this anime... I really do. But those character designs... Can't this guy draw something else besides rehashed Gundam SEED characters?! I mean, seriously. It makes me wanna bang my head on the desk repeatedly every time I see an anime with these character designs. To be fair, his designs have changed to chubby looking characters(at least in the PV). Despite all of that, I'm sure I'll watch it for the mecha. PV: Click
Yuyushiki:
I'm not really sure what this anime is about. I don't really wanna watch it if it is more than 5 mins per ep either. The PV tells us pretty much nothing as well. PV: Click
Shingeki no Kyojin:
Can I just give this anime 10/10 right now? We all know this is gonna be great! It seems to me like this is Shadow of the Colossus meets steampunk. While I hate steampunk, I do think this will be pretty interesting. You should most definitely give this a watch when it starts. If you don't, then you just have no taste. PV: Click
Kakumeiki Valvrave:
Mizuki Nana + mecha? Well, my pants just got tighter than they already are! With that combo, how can this anime be bad? I just hope Nana gets to play an actual character. But at least she is singing the OP. Makes it worth watching right there. PV: Click
Suisei no Gargantia:
So many mecha animes this season. As good as Valvrave will be, I think this will be the best of them. The story looks really interesting and I really love that art! I really hope this doesn't disappoint me because I need an anime to be good. I need an anime to bring be back from comics, which I spend most of my time on now. Anyway, here's the PV: Click
Hataraku Maou-sama!:
An anime about someone from another dimension coming to this world to try and live normally. Well, this has been done about a billion times. I'm probably gonna be passing on this. PV: Click
Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko:
So this is about a guy that is horny. He prays to a statue to have his lustful wishes come true. And it works! Yeah... That's what this anime is about. PV: Click
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru:
Typical romantic comedy anime. Not much to say. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. PV: Click
...and now I'm bored lol I was gonna do more, but I have such a headache now from all the noise here. Guess this is good enough. If ya wanna know about any others, just leave a comment!

List of ongoing comics I'm reading
So yeah. I just thought I would kinda list all of the ongoing comics I'm reading. Plus, I'll mention what I'm going to start reading soon. I'll point out which ones I love and which ones I hate.
Without further ado, here's what I'm reading.
Currently Reading:
Nightwing v3 - It's Nightwing. How can I not love it? Anybody that knows me knows I love Mr. Grayson.
Batman, Incorporated v2 - I love this, but RIP Robin ;_;
Saga - The best comic to come out in a long time! If you aren't reading this, you don't know what you're missing.
Hawkeye v4 - Comicvine says v2, but it's really v4. This started out decent, but I just don't know now. Kinda boring =/
Red Hood and the Outlaws - I hate Jason Todd. I don't know why I ever thought I would like this...
All-Star Western v3 - Really love this comic. It just has a way different feel than most other things I read.
Batgirl v4 - If Batgirl mentions being in a wheelchair one more time, I swear I'm gonna start doing bath salts or something.
Batman: Li'l Gotham - This is a digital first comic. That means it's released digitally before in stores. That being said, this comic is funny as all could be. Robin( ;_; ) is really the best character in it.
Batman and Robin v2 - This is really my favorite Batman ongoing atm. I don't know what is gonna happen now tho since Robin died...
Star Wars v2 - I think this is v2 anyway. However, that doesn't matter. This comic is terrible and makes me wanna rage every single page I read of it.
Batman Beyond Unlimited - This collects many of the "Beyond" digital first titles. Overall, I'd say I like it.
Batman: The Dark Knight v2 - Everybody hates on this for poor writing. However, they're idiots and don't see how good this actually is.
Batman v2 - It's Scott Snyder written Batman. What more can I say? It's good stuff.
Birds of Prey v3 - Eh, I didn't think this would be good. It's okay, but nothing to write home about.
Catwoman v4 - If you like tits and ass and have a catgirl fetish, then this comic is for you. Otherwise, avoid like the plague.
Detective Comics v2 - Do we need all of these Batman titles? Yes, because they're all pretty good.
Talon - I wish this comic was better. Shame on you, Scott Snyder.
Batwing - Better than I expected.
Batwoman - You might like this... if you're a feminist lesbian.
Katana - I like what I read in issue 1.
Adventure Time - For a comic for kids, this isn't bad at all. I expected much worse.
Nova v5 - It's shit like this that makes me hate Marvel. No disrespect to the writer tho, as I respect him a lot.
Justice League of America v3 - Good so far from issue 1.
Justice League of America's Vibe - Quite good. Could possibly be one of the greatest superhero comics out if it plays its cards right.
DC Universe Presents - Such a shame this is canceled with issue 19 or 20. I was enjoying a look at the less well-known characters of the DC Universe.
Five Weapons - This lived up to the hype. I quite enjoyed issue 1.
Guardians of the Galaxy v3 - Finally! Something by Marvel that I actually enjoy.
The Rocketeer: Hollywood Horror - Hey, this isn't bad at all. I enjoyed the writing a bit.
And that's the end of the ongoings I'm currently reading. I plan on reading a lot more too because... well... why not? I'll probably try to catch up to all of the New 52 and Marvel NOW! titles. There's probably a few others I'll pick up along the way. Never know what IDW, Image, Boom, Dynamite, or any of the other publishers will put out. Well, until next time!

This short little series is about Zod's control of New Krypton and his declaration of war towards the Earth. The whole back story, if you haven't read anything Superman, is explained in the Free Comic Book Day #0 issue. Basically, Superman found a lost Kryptonian city that was shrunken down right before Krypton was destroyed. He unshrinks the city and puts it on Earth. The humans don't like this and pretty much invade the city, so the Kryptonians make New Krypton. Zod becomes the leader of New Krypton and it pretty much becomes a military planet. I don't wanna spoil the rest, but it's pretty good for what it is. The writing isn't bad at all, and I really liked the art. You should totally buy this and give it a read if you are a Superman or DC fan.

Grant Morrison is usually a good writer. However, this comic just doesn't do it for me. His writing is just not there. Every other word is a curse word, and that is really a shame. It could have been better if he would have just omitted a lot of curse words. Ya know, if he would have put character development or meaningful stuff instead of cursing. Let me back track for a second and talk about the comic itself. Happy! is about a former cop who is doing a job for a crime lord. While he's doing the job, he gets seriously injured and starts seeing this blue, flying horse. Turns out the horse is an imaginary friend. I can't say much more or it would be major spoiling, but let's just say he eventually grows to like and trust the horse. Anyway, Morrison doesn't really do much with the story. It has potential. He just doesn't utilize it. If you wanna read something good by Morrison, I suggest Joe the Barbarian instead. Now that is a good Morrison comic. As for the art, it was fine. Not much I can really say about it. Ultimately, you should buy this comic if you're a Morrison fan. If not, I'd say just skip it.

So Marceline and the Scream Queens is a spinoff of the popular Adventure Time comic and TV show. In the comic, we follow Marceline's band, the Scream Queens, on their tour. During their tour, they decide Princess Bubblegum should be their manager. So Peebles, as Finn calls her, joins the band on tour. Not much really happens. It really just shows Marceline's inability to take bad reviews of her band. It also shows that Marceline and PB are totally in love with each other, even if they don't come out and say it. Overall, the writing is okay. Nothing that special. The art is pretty lackluster compared to the main Adventure Time comic, but it isn't that bad. I would say only read this if your are a fan of Adventure Time. If not, you should totally pass.
